[mythtv-users] Hauppauge TD-500 fails

There used to be some good information on the wiki, but I noticed that
this page is gone... which is a shame as there were some good
specifically mythtv tips and not just general information; which I
understand the desire to use linuxtv mailing lists for.

anyway, I recall that there are two things that has stopped lockups for me.

 - increase the tuning delay to 250ms
 - turning off active eit for the second tuner.

Once the tuner is locked up, the only solution is a cold-start (10
seconds with powercord disconnected). It is due to the driver not
knowing the state of something on the card; it is a known issue and it
is in the list of things to be resolved... I havent been keeping track
of where the bug ticket is though.
