Just to follow myself up, I downloaded the build on the sourceforge site, and it is definitely not the same one that I built yesterday.  It starts playback, but if I skip forward, back, pause or anything, it just keeps playing for about 2 minutes delaying my command.  Finally, after a couple minutes elapses, it begins to play my commands.  The kids needed to watch some football today, so I rolled back and didn't catch the log file.  If I have a chance, I'll dig back into the log file from earlier today when I tested the build and post any results.
