I'm getting the same problems with 720p content, both from Fox and
ABC. At least, I was last time I checked. Because of the Mac issues,
I only use my Atom/Ion/VDPAU frontend for MythTV playback now. I'll
update my Mac version to check for any improvements. When I tried
last, it was spewing messages about audio/video sync, and dropping
lots of frames.

Even worse, I had stability problems which seemed to be related to
MythTV & OpenGL: "mythfe kernel[0]: NVDA(OpenGL): Channel exception!
exception type = 0xd = GR: SW Notify Error", and corrupted screens
where half the screen would be solid red. I assume nobody else is
getting these problems or there would have been more reports -- I
posted to the list, but got no responses. This issue was why I
stopped using the Mac frontend and went with Linux.
