Looks like an Atom 330, which is a netbook model and not a desktop model I believe, as well as an Ion1 chipset/GPU.
High definition h264 video should work fine with VDPAU. Don't expect it to do a lot without hardware decoding.
As an original Ion rather than a 'next gen' Ion, you get VDPAU feature set B instead of feature set C. That means no hardware decoding of mpeg-4 part 2 (xvid) and it won't handle odd sized h264 video.

All feature set B hardware cannot decode H.264 for the following widths:
769-784, 849-864, 929-944, 1009-1024, 1793-1808, 1873-1888, 1953-1968,
2033-2048 pixels.
