I don't know that it's all that useful. Based on the info provided by
my Ceton InfiniTV 4 card, you can get the frequencies and channels,
but there's no easy way to determine which channels are unencrypted
QAM. So you'd still need to tune them all on the HDHR and see which
ones are usable. I guess the only way in which it would be helpful
would be in providing you a reduced set of frequencies to test.

Now, on the other hand, once you've got all of your clear QAM channels
configured, a cablecard would be useful to lookup those channels
specifically to see if they've moved. However, you won't detect when
they change status between encrypted/unencrypted.
