[mythtv-users] Playback problem -- random short pauses

I only watch recorded and it's too repeatable to be #1, usually the pauses are heisenbug in nature, not there when you look for them again but although it's slightly different each time there are always some pauses there.

I know that encoder profiles often change at this time, the content can go from telecine'd 25fps to 50i as graphics are inserted, credits are squeezed etc. maybe that's related? When I've tried vdpau ivtc it usually goes nuts at the end of a show as the interstitial or ads are mixed in.

I've tried a few things but I need to go make some seektables before I can really compare much.
