The 250 does no tuning for mythtv here, so scanning is neither useful nor
desired.  Instead, set the card's "Preset tuner to channel" setting to 3 and
set "External channel change command" to the script to send channel change
IR commands to the comcast box.

Anyway, that's how I did it with my 350 and what I suspect is the very same
comcast box, earlier this year when I was still in a post-transition comcast
area.
