Yeah, not having to recan would be good, especially if I have to do a
full rescan. A single transponder is manageable. I'm more than happy
to have a bit of a hack around in mysql instead. For auto fec do I just
need to put "auto" in the fec column. The only ones I've got at the
minute are:
mysql> select distinct fec from dtv_multiplex;
+------+
| fec |
+------+
| 5/6 |
| 2/3 |
+------+
2 rows in set (0.00 sec)
and the BBC HD transponder is using 5/6.
Based on Alasdair's link and the info he copied in above it looks like
modulation, fec and symbol rate are changing from what I currently have
in my db...
