With regard to the SA4240HDC, I'm not sure if my changes are required
for all SA4240HDC's or if this change is specific to the firmware
version on this box.  I haven't yet tried to determine if there are
other fields in the 1394 directory that could be used to configure
commands for specific device/firmware combinations.  Data from other
SA4240's would be needed.

I'm certainly willing to share the modified code and steps for building
it with anyone who wants it.
