While that is kinda true (upgrade junky) this machine is not on that
schedule ;) This machine just needs to work, as the wife and kids use
it heavily.

As for single channel, I have no idea. I never thought a modern
motherboard would be this way, but after I got it and set it all up I
realized it. I bought it based on the what it had on board, video,
esata, firewire, optical spdif. I honestly never even thought to check
the memory, I just assumed it was dual channel.
