[mythtv-users] 0.23-to-0.24 database upgrade fail - solution?

Hi,

Looking to confirm that this G-thread:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/407793#407793

is still considered the solution for the video tables causing a
database update to fail?

Would like to get back to using a front-end instead of VLC.
