[mythtv-users] mythfilldatabase adds back deleted firewire channels

So I was able to set up a Firewire tuner through my Comcast box, and
to my surprise and fortune, it's able to tune every channel I receive
through the box normally! Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Great
complement to my HDHR.

I went into the channel editor and deleted all of the SD versions of
the channels that the firewire tuner can get in either HD or SD. I
wanted to do this to clean up the guide listing, and to make sure it
never recorded SD shows when HD was available. (The guide seems to
lie sometimes about which shows are HD, so raising HD priority by 4 or
5 points didn't help. And I didn't want to delete the channels from
my lineup in Schedules Direct, because I don't yet know how often
Comcast changes the copy flags on the HD channels, and I might want
Schedules Direct to be a faithful list of my actual channel lineup for
other reasons.)

The problem is, whenever mythfilldatabase runs, it adds the channels
back in! I even added the "--update" flag in Setup so that the
backend would use that flag when running mythfilldatabase, but it
still adds the channels back in. Is there any way for them to stay
deleted? Or am I doing something else wrong?

Thanks for your help!

Josh
