I can confirm that.  I have two of them, one bought about a year ago
with the 0008 device ID, and one bought about a month ago with device
ID 0011.  The blaster works fine on the 0008 one, but I'm only using
the receiver on the 0011 one; I don't know if the blaster works or
not.
