The only thing lacking in storage groups currently is the support for 
encrypted ISOs.  If multiple directories are defined in the storage 
group, their trees are seamlessly merged together, and you should have 
no indication that the content exists on separate volumes.  How exactly 
is this blocking your preferred tree layout?
