[mythtv-users] mythbuntu 0.24.1 mythfrontend now dying with error

Hi all,

Since the last lot of updates came in today, the frontend will appear
to hang after loading the theme background with an error message
similar to the following:

2011-11-01 21:11:29.847 Found mainmenu.xml for theme 'Arclight'
ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 3669, errno = 32


It updates the themecache directory within .mythv, including all the
files in the theme that you're using. Looking at top shows that it's
disk bound, and it never actually ends up connecting to the backend,
if the backend logs are to be believed. I run the backend & frontend
on separate machines. Using strace one sees repeated failed opens of
files under "shared/", suggesting that maybe someones slipped some
relative pathnames into the code and forgotten to chdir to the
/usr/share/mythtv/themes directory.
