YES! it happen to me as well. however I attributed to my SPDIF cable at
the time. My spdif cable doesn't seat correctly. And wired audio can
happen because of it.

I live up in Orange county NY and use Verizon fios.

However, I'm running win 7 mce right now. 
(I bought a centon card and figured I play with it in windows and
Mediaportal and Gbpvr for a bit. )
