Ahh... Wasn't a problem for me. My HDHR is in my data closet[1] in the
office while the MythTV box is in the entertainment center in the
living room. I use a serial IR receiver so I never tried the IR
receiver in the HDHR.

[1] Yes I'm a geek. I ran CAT5e through the house while it was being
built. I have a 19" rack,24 port patch panel, 24 port 10/100 switch, 8
port gigabit router, DSL modem, and the HDHR in my office closet.
