For a frontend system, 100Mbit is plenty and upgrading would not
provide any benefit unless you plan on doing things like what Richard
Shaw suggests, where you want to do much faster than real-time video
transfers.

On the other hand, if that wasn't a typo and you really are on a 100
millibit/s, then it's essential.  ;)
