Sounds like you have EIT scanning enabled. Check your tuner settings in
mythtv-setup, if you aren't using EIT for your listings, then you can safely
turn it off. I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to interfere with recordings
though.

Also, don't top post to this list, it's frowned upon.
