[mythtv-users] Moving cable TV service, keep recording channels

Hi,

I have DirecTV right as a video source in MythTV. I just got Verizon FIOS TV
installed, with one free SD STB.

I will create a new video source for the FIOS TV, but I'm not sure what to
do about the old DirecTV video source.

If I delete the DirectTV video source, then I think I will lose all the
channels numbers for the 300+ recordings I have saved. I really don't want
that to happen.

The only way I know how, and I'm not sure if it would work is to do the
following:

1) Delete the video source from schedules direct.
2) Mark every station not visible for the DirectTV video source from
theMythweb page.
3) Add new schedules direct listing for FiosTV.
4) Next, following the instructions below

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Configuring_MythTV_for_the_HDHomeRun_Prime

Would this work? What would happen to same station numbers that exists on
both the old and new video sources?
Would this mess up my old TV recordings?

Thx for your help.
I'm sure a lot of people are encountering this with the Prime and ceton
cards out now,

Using MythTV 0.24.1(packman built), SuSe 11.3
