[mythtv-users] Audio gone missing?

Right, more a Linux issue then MythTV, but I have a hunch the know-how is here..

I added a GT430 to my system to be able to get audio over HDMI to my TV while I was moving house. I had to back-port the media tree to get audio to work, I followed http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1668737 but since then it has been dandy. System is Ubuntu 10.04

(I knew i would not get my amp up for a few months, and my TV does not support to use video from HDMI and audio from another input).

Now, my amp is installed, but my on board audio is missing.

Motherboard is: GA-73PVM-S2H

Onboard audio is enabled in BIOS.

I see
00:09.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP73 High Definition Audio (rev a1)
        Subsystem: Giga-byte Technology Device a002
Flags: 66MHz, fast devsel, IRQ 23
        Memory at e5100000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2
        Capabilities: [50] Message Signalled Interrupts: Mask+ 64bit+ Queue=0/0 Enable-
        Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel

and

02:00.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation Device 0bea (rev a1)
        Subsystem: Giga-byte Technology Device 3505
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16
        Memory at e4000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
Capabilities: [60] Power Management version 3
Capabilities: [68] Message Signalled Interrupts: Mask- 64bit+ Queue=0/0 Enable-
Capabilities: [78] Express Endpoint, MSI 00
        Kernel driver in use: snd_hda_intel
        Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel

j2 at MythBox:~$

0:9 seem to be the onboard, and 2:0 appears to be the 430.

aplay shows only the 430.

j2 at MythBox:~$ sudo aplay -L

So, any help here?

Now, I cannot figure out what i need to do bring the onboard chip back to life. Any help apreciated!
