The former looks to be getting rather long in the tooth but the latter
looks interesting.

Any idea what the difference is between the HVR-1900 and the HVR-900 as
I'm in PAL country (NZ) and the 900 is available here but not the 1900.
Also, any idea is the mpeg2 encoding of the analog input(s) is done in
hardware or software?
