[mythtv-users] 3 Mux but recording schedule indicating using 4 tuners?

I was too busy to participate in this thread earlier.  I think most of
the issues were covered adequately, but there are a couple of things I
want to add.

I've considered doing this in the past.  I don't have the time nor
motivation to work on it now, but if someone else wants to take a stab
at it, I'd be happy to review it.

Unless a multiplex-affinity patch is created, I think this is a good
idea for the OP.

Another idea, if priorities aren't needed for other uses, is to set
channel priorities based on multiplexes.  For example, set the channel
priority for channels on mux 1 to 1, on mux 2 to 2 and on mux 3 to 3.
If all other priorites are 0 and there are no conflicts, that should
cause all of the programs on mux 3 to be scheduled first and fill up
physical card 1.  The programs on mux 2 would be scheduled next and 
use physical card 1 if possible and then fall back to card 2 as needed.
That should leave card 3 unused for programs on mux1 if they can't be
scheduled on the other cards.
