[mythtv-users] Too much time on LiveTV change

Remember that the people that write code get voluntarily get to write code
that scratches their personal itch. If no dev is interested then it is
unlikely to get fixed. This topic has been discussed a length many times and
it comes down to three points.
1. The devs don't use livetv much or at all
2. The scheduler schedules recordings on the basis of access to all tuners
all the time, live tv ruins scheduling.
3. Time to tune to another channel isn't veryimportant when using mythtv the
way it is intended as a dvr, not a replacement for a broadcast tv renderer.

Most people new to myth complain about livetv and then when they start to
use mythtv the way it was intended they feel liberated from broadcast times.
Maybe 5second tuning times are a way to incentivise you to use myth as a dvr
