[mythtv-users] Mixing .24 and .25

I'm eager to try .25 but given the mission critical nature of Myth, I can't be out for days.  So...I'm thinking of bringing up a .25 back-end in a virtual machine, and pointing my .24 front-ends at it temporarily.

Will that work or will the protocol difference force me to upgrade the front-ends immediately?
