 I don't know what to tell you, my frontend failed to the main menu at LiveTV transitions 100% (literally) of the time from the time I upgraded to 0.25 a few weeks ago.  Since the update that coresponded to that comment in 10490, I have not had one single failure.  As far as the ~1 stutter, I wasn't complaining, I was rejoicing :).
