That depends on your situation.  AirPlay/Bonjour protocol will not cross subnets (without major arm twisting).  If your myth/entertainment is on one subnet but clients on another, you should look for something like shairport.

Shairport is totally unecessary when you have mythtvrunning. Mythtv
does everything shairport does, and actually does more as it
implements much more functionality
