Hi,
For a while now (mid June?) I've been getting lots of the following
backend log entries while watching live and recorded TV (DVB-T) on a
remote frontend:
Aug 19 18:41:09 pooper mythbackend[11261]: I ProcessRequest
ringbuffer.cpp:1086 (WaitForAvail)
RingBuf(/opt/mythtv/livetv/1010_20120819184037.mpg): Waited 0.2
seconds for data #012#011#011#011to become available... 92632 < 196608
It's roughly 1 log entry every 1-2 seconds for the duration of
playback. But not all playbacks result in the entries.
Frontend video & audio quality appears the same as usual (i.e. good).
But I'm wondering if my setup is not performing as it should.
I'm currently running the 12.04 Ubuntu-packaged version: fixes/0.25
[v0.25.2-15-g46cab93]. I upgraded to 0.25 in May, to 12.04 just this
weekend (previously 11.10), and regularly apply the Ubuntu-provided
MythTV updates (0.25-fixes) as they become available.
In my setup all recordings are on a separate disk using an XFS partition.
Cheers,
Justin.
