That's true but a lot of people also run a combined BE/FE.  Also a cheap
gpu to be used for transcoding only may be a decent upgrade path to those
using older hardware for the BE.  If your mobo is already running the
fastest CPU possible then its best to save that for the main BE functions
and off load the transcode jobs to a gpu.
