Well, you're definitely still running a 0.25 backend, and since that's 
the case after a reboot, it must exist somewhere on your hard drive.

I'd recommend backing up your database first, just in case ( 
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Database_Backup_and_Restore ), uninstalling 
all MythTV packages, and then rebooting.

Then, if:

ls /usr/{,local/}{lib/{libmyth*,mythtv},include/mythtv}

(run exactly as is--don't try to simplify it--it will work fine) returns 
anything (other than "cannot access" messages), that's what's causing 
the problem.  It seems you have some files somewhere on your system that 
aren't being managed by your package manager, and you'll need to get 
them cleaned up before your packaging system can ensure that things work 
properly.
