I agree, mostly, with the above remarks. The problem is that although I have 
what I thought was a decent enough directional aerial, and I'm only 8 miles from 
Hannington, I also get signals from Crystal Palace (about 70 degrees left) and 
South Oxfordshire (about 165 degrees left), one group before and one after those 
I'm interested in (also both are in different BBC/ITV regions). This means my 
channels get overridden as the scan progresses when I do a full scan.

It also means I get a horrible list of random transports at the end, with no 
obvious clue which transmitter they are.

Still, everything works for the moment, and that's what matters. Thanks for your 
help.
