I will say that the behavior I was seeing when testing 0.25 was with ALL the 
recordings that were done while recording more than one at a time.   It was 
also pretty much consistent; record more than one thing at a time, the 
resulting recordings would all have frequent (as in every 10 - 15 seconds) 
periods of "pixelating" and "robo sound".  The periods would last for only a 
couple seconds, then recover.

Now, there's one catch, on the front end that I was viewing them on, I had 
vdpaubuffersize set, which I have since read needs to be gone for 0.25.  I 
don't know if that was causing the issue, but my inclination is no because 
there were no playback issues wen viewing recording that were single 
recordings or LiveTV (on it's own).
