It's a flat with a communal dish feed so options are limited, it's purely a physical location issue, what is currently the office will be a bedroom and the office will be in a room where I have an antenna feed for DVBT but it's not possible to cable for satellite. Very messy internal cabling or £500 for scaffolding! 

The Slave backend will need to be completely silent as I was planning for WOL and it will be a couple of feet from the bed the other half has very acute hearing...

Wholeheartedly agreed, holes for cat5 are already drilled, unfortunately extending the satellite cables would be very messy and overly long for an RF feed. Only 5GHz is useful here due to noisy neighbours on 2.4GHz and that is heavily used for Laptops etc.
