How old a version of 0.25 are you running?  There was an issue fixed in 
the recording quality monitor a couple weeks ago that caused excessive 
amounts of context switches in HDHR recordings.  Those could potentially 
cause problems such as filesystem stalls, and the inability to flush to 
disk in a timely manner, resulting in terminated recordings.
