Hi,
after a couple of fixes my mythbuntu precise upgrade is halfway working.
But there ist still the issue, that network control of the frontend is
not available.
I have exactly the same message that is stated in Ticket 10633 1), I
have no idea what
exactly the problem with the socket is. I looked at the sources and
interestingly most other
TCP ports are handled in exactly the same way (with the serverpool
class and listen call 2) ) and
obviously work perfectly well (e.g. Mythfrontend has a listener on
6547). Changing the configured
port didn't help, same failure.
The port is not allocated (checked with lsof). My system is very
simple with just the normal
lo and eth0 configured. I want to use IPV4 and IPV6 is enabled in the system.
Myth 0.25 works pretty well with network control on my Laptop with
OpenSuse and some
2.6.39 Kernel, but I'm not sure whether this helps anything.
Are there others with 0.25 on Mythbuntu and working network remote control port?
As for the very spurious nature that exactly this call fails: is myth
checked for memory corruption,
uninitialized fields... ?
My next step will be debugging of the listen-call this evening.
Regards
Martin
