[mythtv-users] Can't see my tuner card?

Okay, it's recognized on my friend's computer, at least to the extent that
it wants to install drivers for a "Multimedia controller". Does this mean
the card isn't compatible with my computer? Or could it be broken in some
other way?

What, if anything, should I do the test the card on his computer? It wasn't
shown in the BIOS, and yet Windows seems to see it.

Or am I just SOL that my computer can't see it, and I need to buy a
diferent card?

If it's incompatible, how do I determine compatibility with my computer for
the next card? The old card was compatible with my LAST linux box, which is
why I bought a replacement when the last one died.

Thanks so much for your help!
