This is a FAQ.
Change to Auto or OpenGL in Settings -> Appearance

it would still be there if you were to use a 32 bits build of myth.
Quartz is an old Carbon technology.
BTW, all it supports is mpeg2 decoding, which your CPU would have no
problem decoding anyway
