Have to agree with you.  It is able to log errors that the file does not 
exist, but does not realise that this indicates that there is a problem.

IF File <> Exist then
     Stop Recording
     If Different Device Available
         Restart Recording on Different Device
     else
         Attempt to Start Recording on Same Device but different storage 
device.
