I think I saw that support for this remote is being pushed directly into the
kernel including the code to allow the remote to go to sleep to save batteries.
I'm resorting to removing the batteries from mine which is for a frontend I
only use about once a week.  I haven't applied the sleep patch on my Fedora 17
system, and may not bother if direct support in the kernel is coming.

Haven't run into this, but I can't get my remote to auto reconnect, I have to
run the bluetooth manager to get it to reconnect after re-inserting the
batteries.  I don't know if this would be fixed by the bluetooth patches.
