Now i'm using version:

MythTV Version : v0.26-pre-1206-gbc979a8
MythTV Branch : master
Network Protocol : 75
Library API : 0.27.20120906-1
QT Version : 4.8.1

But should it really matter what version since it works on my combined
frontend/backend computer? Shouldn't the standalone frontend communicate
with the backend in the same way as the combined frontend/backend? And
since recordings and videos work on the standalone frontend it is able to
communicate with the backend.

Can't remember doing anything special to get it to work when i tried this
setup a few months ago.
