Well, perhaps.  But in fact, one of the most common places that RAM-SSDs
were used was *underneath fast-moving tables in big databases*, so you might
understand why that was where my mind went first.

That was when it was impractical to buy a motherboard that would take
256GB of SDRAM, much less of a problem today.  Today, you put it on a 
ramdisk, and make your bootscripts copy it in and out.

And make sure you have a *really* good UPS. :-)
