I had the same problem, it survived all other components from my original
mythtv server...

HVR-1900.

I found it very hard to decide just from googling. Many people appear to
have various problems
with their cards, including the HVR-1120 I bought.

The HVR-1120 card works ok for analog on Fedora 16:
- mythtv-backend-0.25-6.fc16.i686 (rpmfusion)
- kernel-3.4.4-4.fc16.i686
- /lib/firmware/dvb-fe-tda10046.fw

It took me some time to find a description of how to setup the sound, but
it's well explained on:

The channel scan does not work and it seems that the channels must be
entered manually. Or is there some bulk import of analog channel settings?
Just SQL?

Luckily I left it for some days and mythtv started recording programs
because the PVR-350 channel settings were still used.

I also bought an HVR-900 (USB), which turned out to be an HVR-900H.
It does not seem to work, but I have just started to troubleshoot it.

Is there any list of cards that are known to work well with mythtv? Is
http://www.linuxtv.org
the main source for all types of cards?

/Tomas
