IIRC the requirement for Project-X > 0.91 first made an appearance in
Ticket #10071 and was, I believe, intended to correct problems in sound
channel selection. The latest PX tarball seems well hidden but can be
downloaded from the foot of this page:

http://project-x.cvs.sourceforge.net/project-x/Project-X/

I've had no problems with the slightly earlier version I'm using now,
but I usually use it outside MythArchive and retain only a single stereo
channel. It identifies itself as ProjectX 0.91.0.03/31.05.2012 TEST
PROJECT ONLY , User: John

in this environment from the Fedora 16 updates repo:

Java Environment
22 October 2012 09:55:07 BST
java.version 1.7.0_09-icedtea
java.vendor Oracle Corporation
java.home /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.9.x86_64/jre
java.vm.version 23.2-b09

Building it requires the openjdk-devel package.
