I've been running that since posting it, and so far it works
reasonably well. I get some video quality issues with transcoding,
but the previous build I was running was 0.24.something so I can't
vouch for whether it is a configuration issue on my end. I can say
that it works WAY better on my ION front-end, likely due to a more
recent internal ffmpeg library.

I could push that into portage, but I'd prefer to let Cardoe continue
to maintain it as he has been hosting the backports out of his
personal web space. It doesn't make sense to have it bounce back and
forth depending on who got to it last. If I were going to publish
backports I'd probably just host a fork on github and just point the
ebuild to that.
