[mythtv-users] Anyone using VNC on CentOS 6?

After a long delay I'm finally transitioning all my MythTV hosts from
Centos 5 to 6 since apparently MythTV is going to be abandoned on 5.
For years I've used VNC for simple configuration tasks, allowing me to
run mythtv-setup and do what I need without needing to attach a keyboard.
However, the CentOS 6 x86_64 frontend-only box I've got up and running
right now crashes when I access it over VNC. vncserver *does* work from
a regular user account but somehow the instance of vnc associated with
the mythfrontend X session will momentarily flash a black screen then
the entire X session crashes. The way I've got it configured, the X
session restarts, but I still can't connect to the MythTV session via
VNC. Authentication is requested and executed. But the moment the
session is started, the X session crashes.
Does anyone have any thoughts or avenues for me to pursue with this? Did
I miss a library or some other configuration in Myth's configuration?
Thanks.
