[mythtv-users] Audio settings for older Panasonic

I recently bought a used TV and in the upgrade process I can't get
hdmi audio working for recordings. MythVideo plays fine, but I can't
get any recordings to play.
aplay, mplayer, and paplay all work with no special parameters on
sample wav files, but every setting I've tried in myth fails. The
best I get is static or white noise output. mplayer even works to
play the recordings if I download them to play them on the frontend.
Here's a sample -v audio log output of playing a working video, then a
few spaces, and the output of a static/white noise recording.
Thanks, and as a user of Myth since about 0.22 and successfully
getting hdmi to work then, the audio has gotten significantly better,
so please don't take this as complaining :) I'm just dumbfounded I
can't get this!
