I've been using the Gentoo ebuilds from github for 0.25_1 until they
broke. How do I swap over to using the portage variants?

I've tried removing the pointer to /usr/local/mythtv_portage/Gentoo from
my /etc/make.conf file but I get conflicts on the currently installed
plugins. Do I have to un-install first or is there a direct upgrade method
when swapping ebuilds?
