Just because you didn't get the answer you wanted the first time doesn't
mean you should keep asking the same thing hoping for a different result.

MythTV does not use Java, so I'm not sure why this statement is relevant.

MythTV does not directly support tuner cards.  We support tuner card
APIs.  The LinuxTV project supports the cards themselves.

That seems to indicate there is no support in Linux either for that device.

If you want to digitize old VHS tapes, MythTV is far from the ideal
solution.  MythTV is designed to do video capture for the purposes of
scheduled television, while you just want a simple video capture
application, and any device with analog inputs.
