livetv is choppy, playing video or recordings or anything else there is
no problem

In mythfrontend.log there are many of these lines...

Aug 23 00:46:08 obelix mythlogserver: mythfrontend[560]: N CoreContext
mythplayer.cpp:2093 (PrebufferEnoughFrames) Player(0): Waited 100ms for
video buffers LAAAAUALAAAuAUUAAAAUAUuAAuuAUAUP

More than 7000 messages only for the last four days...

$ cat mythfrontend.log | grep Prebuffer | wc -l    => 7289

The amount of ms is varying.
It's the same on channels from DVB-S and DVB-S2.

I've tried many things to improve performance...

+ using an SSD as system disk
+ videos, recordings and mysql-db on another hard-disk (normal hd)
+ 8 GB of RAM
+ display profile: normal (tried slim without improvement)
+ deinstalling pulseaudio

I tried several things to get a hint of the root cause...

+ Increased manuelly prealloc buffer of ALSA without a significant
difference
+ Turned on and off the "Use Extended Audio buffer" without significant
difference
+ Increased the ringbuffer to a the highest possible value without any
difference
+ used tmpfs to put the recordings directory into ram, no difference

Using gnutv to write on disk and reading it with mplayer/vlc does fine
(no problem)
Using vlc directly (without writing to disk before) does fine (no problem)

Here are my specs...

los: mythbuntu 12.04 (linux-image-3.2.0-52-generic)
gfx: radeon [Radeon HD 4200] (open source driver)
ram: 8 GB
cpu: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 235e (3GHz)
dvb: nGene PCI-Express Multimedia Controller (Mystique SaTiX-S2 V2 CI
Dual, 2xDVB-S2 HDTV/MPEG4/H.264)
mtv: mythtv 0.26.1+fixes

I don't know what I can do anymore.

Please help

thx
