you can continue doing what you're doing now and enjoy exactly the
same behaviour without using the browse filesystem mode.

I had an identical setup as you, and still the same: all files placed
in directories, with one directory for TV collections and then I have
folders organise like:
Serie_Name/SeasonX/Serie_Name/S0XEYY

I migrated all this to storage group, enabled the Show Directory
Structure, and it worked and behave exactly as before, except its much
faster and the same structure of files is now available to multiple
frontends without having to fiddle with NFS or mounting directories.

All you will need to do is start mythtv-setup, go into the storage
group settings, make the Videos SG points to your current video
folder.
Then make sure the Coverart/Fanart/Screensho storage group matches
what you've set up in the frontend videos setup.

Restart the backend, restart the frontend, scan for videos... and
voila: look exactly the same as before and exactly how you want it to
be.

BTW, browse filesystem will be removed in the next version of mythtv;
it serves no purpose anymore other than being a pain to maintain.
You can achieve identical behaviour to what you were doing and what
you expect to be.

no it doesn't... This can be done with storage group exactly the same
and require far less settings (especially if you have multiple
frontends)

Time to move on to better options :)
